Please join the family for a repast directly following the service. 4:30p 5th Tavern 2262 S Telegraph Rd Benjamin Fulton Jr., affectionately known as "June," was born on June 9, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the beloved son of the late Maudess Fulton White and the late Benjamin Fulton Sr. Benjamin graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, New Jersey and soon after began his career as a Manager at Ford Motor Company’s Delaware Valley Parts Distribution Center in Pennsauken, New Jersey. His dedication and leadership earned him advancement opportunities within the company, ultimately leading to a relocation with his family to Detroit, Michigan, where he worked at the National Parts Distribution Center in Livonia. Benjamin proudly served Ford Motor Company for 33 years. Never one to rest, Benjamin continued working in his retirement years, initially as a security guard at Greektown Casino. Always eager to grow and for the love of gaming, he pursued a new path in his 60s by attending Gaming School. He became proficient in a number of Table Games such as Poker, Baccarat, and Blackjack. He also worked at Motor City Casino and later MGM Casino, where he remained employed until his passing. Benjamin had a true competitive spirit and was an avid bowler, finding great joy in both the sport and the friendships he built through it. He traveled around the world competing in tournaments and was both a team player and a respected leader on many leagues throughout the Metro Detroit area. Benjamin shared his passion for bowling by teaching and mentoring others, inspiring many with his dedication and love for the game. He loved sports especially Basketball and you can always find him at the nearest health club. Ben was raised in the Union American Methodist Episcopal (UAME) Church and ten years ago, became a committed attendee of John Wesley AME Zion Church in Southfield, Michigan. He regularly attended the 7:30 a.m. worship experience and was steadfast in his spiritual journey of redemption. Forever cherishing his memory: his sons: Troy Spruill of Williamstown, New Jersey, Kayne Spruill of Camden, New Jersey, and Benjamin Christopher Fulton of West New York, New Jersey; daughter: Brandalyn Fulton Williams (Warren Williams), grandson: Camden Barack Williams of Norwalk, Connecticut, best friend: Janie Shuler Fulton of Southfield, Michigan, his brothers: Reverend Andrew Fulton Sr. (Kim Fulton) of Swedesboro, New Jersey, Kine Fulton of Moorestown, New Jersey and a host of loving family members, friends, and acquaintances. Benjamin will be remembered for his strong work ethic, determination, his big smile, hearty laugh, and the joy he found in connecting with others throughout his career and life. His journey serves as an inspiration to those who knew and loved him.
