Beatres Lois Waller

January 23, 1932 - March 1, 2022

Lois Beatres was born January 23, 1932 to the late Hallie and Emma Lou (Pace) Clements in Jacksonville, GA. She was the fifth of nine children, all of whom proceeded her in death (Mamie, Effie, Doris, Glen, Clarence, Rosetta, Oscar, Leon). Her brother in love Leroy Stevens Sr also recently proceeded her in death. Lois moved to Detroit, MI in 1944 to join her father and older siblings. She was educated in Detroit Public Schools and graduated from Southwestern High School in 1950. With an off-chance opportunity for employment at General Motors, she needed to produce a birth certificate before she could be officially hired. Due to the country doctor writing her information incorrectly, when entering General Motors she became Beatres Lois Clements, where she worked for forty years until she retired. To family she was Lois, to coworkers and friends she was Bea. She married the 1st love of her life Milton White Jr in September 1955. To this union two children were born, Antony George and Michele Renee. Milton went home to be with the lord in 1966, unfortunately leaving Lois to raise her young family without him. Four years later she met the 2nd love of her life Robert Waller. They were married in December 1970 and blended their families. To this union one daughter was born, Evelyn Patrice. Lois accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Union Second Baptist Church in River Rouge, MI until her health prevented her from physically participating. She was a sponsor of the Youth Usher Board, a member of the Pastor’s Aide, Kitchen Committee, and Community Outreach. She was faithful to the Lord and her church. Even after she was unable to attend services regularly, she was still committed to sending in her tithes, offerings, and supporting various church ventures and activities. Lois LOVED her family and would always be a part of family functions, travel the country to attend family reunions, share her time in planning family reunions when Detroit was the host city, as well as offer her support in any way she could when needed. In her spare time she also enjoyed attending her retiree luncheons, shopping, and watching television. If you really knew her you knew not to call from 2p-3p because she was watching her beloved General Hospital. Lois was a true woman of faith and raised her family to believe and trust in God for all things. Not only did she believe it, she also demonstrated it in how she lived her life. She was an amazing and supportive mother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She walked by faith, was steadfast in her faith and called on the Lord when living became hard. She called on her heavenly father to bring her home. She was at peace and ready to be reunited with all of her loved ones that had already made it to the other side. God answered her prayers and Lois peacefully departed this life on March 1, 2022. Cherishing her amazing legacy are her children, her bright light/love of her life and grandson , a special Sister-Cousin,; nephews, nieces, her Longmire family, and a host of children by love not blood, along with many great nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends. Beatres Lois Waller made her transition on March 1, 2022. Please encourage the Waller family with words of love and encouragement on our Tribute page.
