He set me free If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh yes things I too will miss. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. – The Blue Family A Remembrance of Life Julius Robert Blue was born on November 7, 1943 in Drew, Mississippi. He was the youngest of twelve children born to the late Ananise and Lela M. Blue. Like many young and hopeful southern born Black American’s of his day Julius (better known to family as Ju’baby) migrated north to Detroit, Michigan with great expectations of creating a better future for himself. Julius gained employment with The Ford Motor Company working there for a number of years as a general laborer. Julius would later meet Dorothy Cantrell and together they birthed two beautiful children; Tina Maria and Derrick Blue. Julius is also the proud father of an elder daughter Mary Lee. A quiet and soft-spoken soul Julius departed this life on May 6, 2019 at Beaumont Wayne Hospital. Ju-baby leaves to remember and celebrate his life his family and friends. Footprints in the Sand One night I dreamed… I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, Other times there was one set of footprints. This bothered me because I noticed That during the low periods of my life, When I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints. So I said to the Lord, “You promised me Lord, That if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life There has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?” The Lord replied, “The times when you have seen Only one set of footprints in the sand, is when I carried you.” ---Mary Stevenson
